GTAP

The Metro Water District is in the process of developing the Georgia Technology Assessment Protocols (GTAP) for Evaluating Emerging Stormwater Treatment Technologies. The primary purpose is to establish a testing protocol and process for Georgia for evaluating and reporting on the performance and appropriate uses of proprietary stormwater treatment technologies and systems for addressing post-construction stormwater runoff. (Note: it is not intended for use in evaluation of erosion and sedimentation control technologies or products).

It is proposed that stormwater treatment technologies and products that have been tested according to these protocols would have an option to have their results evaluated and made available publicly on this website. Local governments in the Metro Water District and throughout Georgia would be free to use this information to evaluate the suitability of these technologies or products in their community.

A technical review committee will be meeting in the future to finalize the GTAP based on the responses recieved during the public comment period conducted in April 2008.
