Primary and secondary education activities provide many opportunities to teach children and youth the importance of protecting and preserving the regions' water resources. The District supports and promotes a number of education efforts, including:
Advocating the Project WET curriculum in schools and nature centers throughout the region.
Offering workshops and presentations about water quality and water supplay to educators, school prinicpals and school board leaders.
Participating in Rivers Alive events and watershed festivals.
Promoting the District's Essay Contest for area middle school students.
