Primary & Secondary Education

Primary and secondary education activities provide many opportunities to teach children and youth the importance of protecting and preserving the regions' water resources.  The District supports and promotes a number of education efforts, including:

  • Advocating the Project WET curriculum in schools and nature centers throughout the region.
  • Offering workshops and presentations about water quality and water supplay to educators, school prinicpals and school board leaders.
  • Participating in Rivers Alive events and watershed festivals.
  • Promoting the District's Essay Contest for area middle school students.
