Level One Drought Declared

(ATLANTA - July 1, 2006)

Due to drought conditions across the state, the Director of the Environmental Protection Division (EPD) has issued a level one drought declaration for all of Georgia. The Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District reminds everyone to be mindful of the more stringent outdoor water use schedule. Watering is permitted only on the following days and times:***

ODD- NUMBERED ADDESSES
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays
Midnight to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to midnight

EVEN-NUMBERED and UNNUMBERED ADDESSES
Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays
Midnight to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to midnight

***Several District jurisdictions have adopted more stringent watering schedules - please check with your water provider for additional information.
